Reporting (suspected) integrity violations is and remains a complex and sensitive matter. On behalf of the House for Whistleblowers, Utrecht University conducted an exploratory study into the role of interactions among directly involved parties in successful internal reporting processes of integrity violations. With this report, the authors illustrate how, in addition to legal-instrumental processes and procedures, reporting processes take concrete shape through the interactions among reporters, wrongdoers, managers, investigators, integrity officers, and other involved parties.
