Dobbin, F. & Kalev, A. (2017). Training Programs and Reporting Systems Won’t End Sexual Harassment. Promoting More Women Will. Harvard Business Review.

15-11-2015 Dobbin, F. & Kalev, A.

Sexual harassment thrives where men dominate management and in fields with few women in core roles. Research shows increasing female representation can address the issue. However, companies often use superficial solutions like anti-harassment training, which may escalate individual problems. Grievance systems backfire, as harassers retaliate. The authors argue that men in leadership must take a public stand, join training, and lead to effect change until more women are in power and shape workplace culture.
